1) Install the latest Textpattern release available from www.textpattern.com
2) Log-in to the main admin interface
3) Download minimalist_template.zip
4) Go to presentation > pages. Replace the existing page templates (*default* AND archive) with the content of the included file called “default_page.txt”. Save the templates.
5) Go to presentation > forms. Replace the existing article form called default with the content of “default_form.txt” and save it. Do the same for comment_form, replace it with the content of “comment_form_form.txt”. Now create a new form, write something about you, the author in the textarea, name it “about”, select “misc” as form type and save it. Create another new form, paste the content of “footer_form.txt” in it and save it as “footer”, again form type “misc”. This is going to be the footer of your page, you can customize it however you want. (It would be cool, though if you’d leave the link to my website and the link to textpattern.com). Now replace the Links form with the one included in “Links_form.txt”.
5) Go to presentation > style. Replace the existing stylesheet with the one located in “minimalist.css”. Save it.
6) Upload the “gfx” directory to your website. It must be located in the same folder that contains the textpattern files.
7) Download the chh_if_data plug-in and install it. Don’t forget to activate it!
8) You’re done! Enjoy the minimalist! :)
